Why was Scott's blog created

On Friday October 31st 2008, Scott was taken to Kingston General Hospital with life threatening injuries following a hockey accident.

On arrival at the hospital, Scott was put on life support. He had no movement from the neck down. Scott suffered damage to his spinal cord at the 4th cervical vertebrae. The extent of the damage is still to be determined. The first week end has shown some, but little progress.

It became very apparent that Scott touched many lives and that many people wanted to know how he was doing. Kirsty quickly became overwhelmed by all the e-mails, messages, phone calls and visits. In an effort to distribute the information, this Web site was created with the purpose of publishing a blog that would give people regular updates.

If you are here today, it is because you are one of so many people that share the love we all have for Scott and Kirsty. Please do not hesitate to leave comments, thoughts, prayers, encouraging words.

We have known the Milne's for years through sports and day care and school with the kids.

We know that Scott is strong and Kirsty is an amazing woman. Scott will make it through this, and we'll all be praying for him.

All our prayers and thoughts,

Christina, Keith, Mackenzie and Madison

I had the honour and pleasure of providing childcare for Tanner and Kobe for their first years. I know Scott as a passionate, determined man, and if there is anyone who can overcome this, with Kirsty's love and support, he will do it. Sending love and prayers from our family.

Scott & Kirsty,
I wish we were closer so we could offer assistance with the boys, but please know we are thinking about you daily. Scotty my favourite volleyball roommate to quote our favourite U2 song that we sang so out of tune, so many times. "It's a beautiful day, don't let it get away". Get well soon big fellow so we can enjoy more beautiful days and sing out loud and proud like only we can.
