Friday, November 14 - Two weeks today.

I went to the hospital yesterday, just enough to drop the printed copy of all your comments and get some news. Please know that all your comments are transmited and read by Kirsty and Scott. Kirsty mentions everyday how much it is worth for them.

There isn't much to report. Scott is spending more time with the bed in a somewhat sitting position. This is an important step to prepare him to sit, and get out of that bed.

Kirsty realises that so many people are just waiting desperatly to help, and she is at the point were I could see her starting to reach out soon. So keep an eye on here for requests.

Some groups are starting to organise things it seems. For example, the Fire Department are going to take care of the Christmas decorations at the Milnes house. Nice

I am just asking to let your intentions known, either by commenting on here, or by e-mailing me. That way, we don't have duplication of tasks. An other reason is that a lot of things like snow removal for exemple, are things that Kirsty is entitled to from the military.

So let's keep organised so our efforts are as efficient as possible towards the ultimate goal of providing our friends with the maximum amount of free time.

Being in Ottawa isn't conducive to being able to help out as much as I'd like. I'll have to settle for frequent emails, constant prayers, and mustering all the positive karma I can and sending it south. I hope it's enough. Hugs to all.

Dear Kirsty - I have just learned of your dear Scott's injury. It has been some time since we have seen one another, but I remember well the love and pride in your voice when you talked about all of "your boys". From what I have been able to learn from the blog, you are seeing positive signs. I know that you are up to any challenge and that you have the love and support of many friends and family as you face this one. Please know that my thoughts are with you all. With affection, Merrilees

Hi Scott:
It is Logan # 4 from your hockey team. I know I am new on your team and you were my first hockey coach since I moved to Kingston but I hope you get better because I think you are the best coach & I want you back with our team!

Kirsty,

Do you remember me? My parents are Floyd and Shirley Roadhouse, siblings Darcy, Teresa and Dale...from a long time ago in BC! So long ago that I don't really remember you much. I remember Donelle more, because we are closer in age, and Craigy a bit (although I don't suppose you call him Craigy anymore!). I was shocked to hear about Scott's accident through my mom's email. Please know that our prayers are with you.

Kirsty, I can't agree more with one of the comments made on this blog about you taking some time to look after yourself as well. You are no good to anyone if you are not looking after yourself. Enos and I are just down the road, we pass by ***your street*** every day, please if there is ever anything you need, anything at all...grocery shopping, errands run, rides, babysitting (albeit your boys have no clue who we are, but McDonalds makes friends out of anybody!), or maybe a meal or two delivered to your door we can do it and we would do it without hesitation!

It is obvious you two have a world of support behind you, please lean on it.

Scott, we think of you and speak of you every day. This is your biggest hurdle yet, and we know you will triumph! Keep up the fight!

Enos and Vicki

Scott and Kirsty,

There isn't a day that passes by that I don't think about you. I have just learnt about the blog. I so wanted to drop by the hospital but didn't exactly know how to approach you. Having spent time with Scott on the soccer fields and volleyball courts, I can only wish him the best and hope for the fastest of recoveries. Scott is a great man and great man do even greater things.

Scotty & Kirsty...
The Halerewich team is still right right here by your side! You're in our thoughts, even if we are unable to get into the hospital each day, we are ALWAYS here for you both. I know I don't have to tell you that, but I like to send in a message so you can read it to Scotty.
In friendship & love.

Good morning Scott, it's 6:45am, that's right...it's me, Hugh. You can't lay there all day you know...get your ass out of bed.

Kirsty, I mentioned yesterday that we're sending divers into the water this morning for repair work. Well, a construction crew blocked our emergency exit points with
heavy equipment... so let Scott know that his hard earned(oxymoron)military dollars are being well spent as we sip coffee...and
wait...and wait.

Scott, we do a fair amount of stuff
around here that at times, I guess you could say "scares us" or me anyway. Well, I must admit that going to see you yesterday was a mixed bag of emotions to say the least. Now I can say I'm glad I did.

You're unbelievable Scott...no longer if, it's when.

Hugh.

Scott you taught me not to quit when we were together on the fire department.

You will be up and playing hockey soon, and remember when you come out to Victoria look me up.

Dear Scott, Kirsty and boys

We were so excited to hear the great news
last week about your breathing Scott. We
saw Tanner at hockey yesterday November 15,
and he was so excited and uplifted by it.
You probably don't realize it Scott, but you

and knowing how strong spirited and stubborn
you are Scott we know you will accomplish
great things in the future. Kirsty, please
don't forget to take care of you. Call if
you need anything, even a few daiquiries,
which I am always up for. Take care

Scott, Kirsty and boys: Diane Stone called and informed us of your terrible accident. To say the least, it was a great shock to us. Kirsty, we remember you from an infant and we know your spunk will see you through this uncertain time. Please know that we pray daily for you and Scott, Tanner, Kobe and Rhys. Fran & Craig, our prayers are with you as well and also with Scotts' parents. We'd also like to show our gratitude to Claude for setting up this space and keeping us all up to date on Scotts' recovery.
