Hi Scott and Kirsty,
So wonderful to hear all the great progress you continue to make. All I can say is look out nurses, doctors, and staff now that Scott has his new "wheels".

I was over to the mainland last weekend and drove by the old "Keg" site and couldn't help remembering all the "dine and dash" stories you used to come in and tell us when you two worked their part. He always kept us in stiches in the shop.. Of course he used to tell us these stories of this wonderful girl he just met.... We all know were that went Sending hugs and good wishes. Way to go Scott! Your very own chariot! You be careful navigating that four-wheeled chariot around - you do not want to run over anyone or anything' especially Kirsty's toes!

So happy to hear there is progress. Slow and steady wins the race as they say. You guys are literally in my thoughts every day. Keep up the good work Scott and that positive attitude. Know how proud we are all of you for the fighting you are doing. It is hard work but will be so worth it in the end when you WALK out of there with a new vision on life.

Just wanted to let you know that I, too, think of you every day. Scott - the best thing you can do is keep a positive attitude, and it sounds like you're doing a great job of that!! It will make all the difference in the long run. Hope is what keeps us all going - never underestimate the power of positive thinking, hope and the love of friends and family. Just wanted to say thank you to Claude for starting this blog and providing all the information - what a great way to stay connected. It's great to hear from you directly now Kirsty. Hey Scott, be careful in that thing, you don't want to be knocking anyone down! Great to see so much progress in such a short time, although I am sure that it has felt like an eternity for you and the Team. Hope you are out of there in fine shape soon. Hi Scott the Sarfin family thoughts and prayers are with you.I gave Isaac your advice about soccer, he said it realy helped.Kristy I am one of the barbers that cuts Scotts poker staight hair at b6. Ian is back in town so we are ready to get cooking and helping how ever we can.

Hey Scott, Maybe your mom has one of your old baseball shirts from the early 80's...didn't you have "Scooter" on the back of it?? i think you had one in every colour didn't you? I'm glad to hear that you were able to get out of bed for a bit. I'm sure it will be nice when you can go on "field" trips and see some new scenery. I'm so proud of you for maintaining your good spirits and leading your family as Kirsty says - I wouldn't expect anything else from the headstrong person I know. My mom and I were talking about you yesterday. She had such high hopes that I would smarten up one day and marry you...that is until you came to Shuswap with us and she saw that we were just like Broher and Sister always competing and one up'ing each other....always faster, better, higher wasn't it with you...always the competitor, always the achiever....with that solid attitude you can overcome any challenge. I remember our first meeting with Andy and Kirsty...how odd that they too "almost" dated. Our lives travel in such similar circles.

I have such fond memories of hanging out with you and the our other friends. I hope we have a chance to reconnect again.

My son, like your boys, plays hockey too. We had our butts kicked yesterday and today. I tell you...the competitive spirit comes out...although it is only a game - I hate losing!! So much fun watching the kids grow up isn't it. I can't imagine what your parent thought (well, now I actually can) when this "little" girl called over and over and over and over....Norm and Diane, I'm so sorry I was such a pest. I loved the spirit Scott drew out in me too...even back then. However, I'm not sure I'd be so tolerant if my Braedon was harassed in the same way! I can't believe our kids are the age we were when we hung out...in fact older....we started in Grade 2 and ours are past that!!

I miss you guys like crazy! Don has been doing the writing because he is better at it but I just wanted you all to know that we are thinking of you daily. We wish we were closer so we could help out. Scott I know you have the strength, determination and will to get through this and it shows through all the progress that has been posted so far. With the support from Kirsty, the boys,family and all your friends, I know we will only see continued progress. We will be home for Christmas so we will be seeing you all sometime over the holidays.
