Thank you half-marathoners!

Another note of thanks to Lisa Barton and Nicci Rea who ran the Peterborough Half-Marathon on behalf of Team Milne. They raised a whopping $1,101.00 and we want to say a HUGE thank you to both of them as well as everyone who contributed. I can't imagine running a 5K run, let alone a half-marathon - but these extraordinary women did it, and raised money on our behalf while they did it, so we just want to say thank you!

Hello Team Milne!
Just wanted to say hello. I hope that since the big event in February you have made even more progress. I hope St. Mary's is treating you well and that you see impovement! I was very happy to hear that you were able to get out to visit that night. I hope you are all doing well. Thinking, praying and cheering for you all.

Hello Team Milne,

The MacIsaac family is very interested in your progress. Stay positive buddy and just thank god you don't have to eat Kirsty's cooking (then again, I don't think I ever tasted her cooking, you always did it). Scott on another note, I wish the Habs played the Canucks more often...the only team we seem to beat. Hope to hear from you soon

Hello Team Milne!

I hope the all is well back east. The months just seem to melt away. I'm sure there are days that just drag by but I hope that, Scott, you are behaving yourself in st. Marys. I'm sure the boyz are wrapping up the hockey year. My son Braedon has his final tourny this weekend then a month off before BMX starts. Alyssa is an avid dancer so like your boys, my kids keep us hopping.

We think about you every day and pray that each day brings more opportunity and growth.

Take care Team Milne....Cheryl

Hi Scott and Kirsty,I haven't written for awhile and just wanted to touch bases with you. Congratulations on the success of the fundraiser and the ladies marathon! All of this must take a great weight off you shoulders. The success is due to the fine characters of both of you. You have a fabulous family/friend network and, obviously, you deserve it. I hope you are continuing to make great progress at St. Mary's, Scott. I know you'll be giving it all that you have! Kirsty, I hope you and your family have set a new rhythm that allows you some time for yourself. It is so important that you take care of you as you are so needed by everyone. All is well with our family. Winter in B.C. has been long and we are all looking forward to warmer, sunnier days. Robin and I are working on plans for our trip to Italy in September. Robin's roots are there so we have had fun trying to find relatives and are meeting new friends along the way.I will go for now but will check in again soon. Take care, stay strong. Love to you both,

Kathy

Hi Scott,

Just checking in to say we are still pulling for you. We were delighted about the news of the fundraiser. Hopefully, your progress has continued.

Do you think they'll allow you to make an appearance at the CMU Mess Dinner on 8 May? If not, we'll see what we can do about getting down to see you.

Take care

Theresa

Another inspirational saying from the book Kirsty gave me! It really is a wonderful book Kirsty:p

This one is called
"Keep believing in Yourself"

There may be days when
you get up in the morning and
things aren't the way you had hoped they would be.
That's when you have to tell yourself that things will get better.
Keep your life focused on believing in yourself
and all that you are capable of.
Constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction for you.
It may not be easy at times
but in those times of struggle
you will find a stronger sense of who you are.
Life is a journey through time,
each of us will experience life in our own way.
So when days come that are filled with frustration,
remember to believe in yourself!

Stay strong my friends!

Shelley
