To the Milne Family,
When Steve came home with the news of Scott's accident, I could not believe it. Although I do not know Scott all that well ( I was normally at home with Logan while Aidan & Derek played hockey with Scott & Steve), I have met him several times and I have a strong image in my mind of him. From the first time I met him, it was easy to see that he had a big heart. He was an amazingly dedicated hockey volunteer who brought his enthusiasm and good nature to the ice pad- a superb role model for the young kids. He was always so pleasant and positive, he created a great impression on me. It is unimaginable what has happened to this fine man, it makes me wonder what life is all about. This man deserves nothing but the best - this is unspeakable. Having met his family I know that Scott will perservere down this road with courage and positive thinking, perhaps that is what we all should learn from Scott at this time - that life is worth fighting for when you have three beautiful children and a wonderful wife at your side. We cannot imagine what you must be going through but we offer you our support - in any way shape or form. The days ahead will be long, undoubtedly, but you are not alone- some people live a lifetime without knowing how they have impacted the lives of others. I hope that you can all see that Scott has truly made his mark on his circle of friends and aquaintances. He, and your family, deserve only the best. We are thinking of you.
Sincerely,
Our prayers are with Scott's and Kirsty's family. There are a lot of volunteers fire fighters that want to help out but are unsure how to at this point. Please let me know if there is anything we can do as individuals or that our associations can do.
